If you run a small service business, you hear two questions every day: “How much is it?” and “When are you free?” You answer them by phone, by text, between jobs — and the customers who don’t want to wait for your reply book with someone else.
Smart Widget Platform puts the answers on your own website. It adds a small booking window — a widget — where your customers see the price, pick a time that is really free, and book. Your website takes the booking; you keep working.
A customer books on a barber’s site, then you see how it’s set up. Copperfade Barber is a made-up example; the widget is real.
What it is, in plain words
Think of the widget as a contact form that does the whole front desk. You paste it into your website once, and from then on it does three jobs for you:
- It tells the price. The customer answers a few simple questions — which service, how many rooms, which extras — and sees the exact price, worked out from your own price list.
- It shows only times that are really free. Your opening hours, your days off, the time you need between jobs. Once a time is booked, nobody else can book it.
- It takes the booking. Name, email, phone and anything else you need to know. The customer gets a confirmation email straight away, and the booking lands in your dashboard.
Your customers don’t need an account or an app. They stay on your website, in your colours — in English, Hungarian or Serbian.
A simple example: a barber with one chair
Here’s how it looks at Copperfade Barber — a made-up barber, with a real widget, built from the Barber template any new account can start from.
Before: a customer sends a message — “How much is a skin fade? Are you free on Saturday?” The barber is in the middle of a cut. By the time they can answer, the customer has booked somewhere else.
After: the customer opens the barber’s website, picks a skin fade and a hot towel finish, and sees the price — €30 — before booking. They choose a free time, type their name, email and phone, and it’s booked. The confirmation email goes out by itself, and the booking is waiting in the barber’s list when the haircut is done.
The customer’s side: about a minute, from the price to booked.
Why we built it: the problems it solves
- Customers lost while you work. People book with whoever answers first. Your website answers at once — at lunchtime, at midnight, on a Sunday.
- The same questions all day long. The price, the free times, the address: all answered on the screen, before anyone calls.
- Double bookings and notebook mix-ups. One calendar, checked again by the server at the moment of booking — two people can’t get the same time.
- “Can I move it to Friday?” Customers move or cancel their booking themselves, from the link in their email, within the rules you set — and you get an email when they do.
- Forgotten appointments. Every confirmation comes with a calendar invite, and a reminder goes out before the appointment once you switch reminders on.
- A commission on every booking. It runs on your own website, so the customer stays yours. We don’t take a cut of your bookings.
Who it’s for
Anyone who sells their time, a job or a stay, and wants customers to book without a phone call. There’s a ready-made template for each of these:
- Cleaning companies — a price per room, extras and arrival windows.
- Barbers, stylists and beauty studios — a menu of services with add-ons.
- Handymen and trades — a call-out fee, the type of job and a surcharge for urgent visits.
- Mobile car detailers — prices by the size of the vehicle.
- Tours, tastings and experiences — a price per person and fixed start times.
- Cabins and holiday homes — booked by the night, with check-in and check-out.
- Consultants, coaches and clinics — sessions, with the questions you ask anyway.
How to start: about ten minutes
- Sign up — 30 days of Pro, free, no card needed.
- Pick a template close to your business and rewrite the words in your own.
- Set your prices, opening hours and the questions you need answered.
- Paste the snippet into your website — or try it first on the built-in Test page.
Your side, in the real dashboard: a template, your prices, one snippet.
The snippet is two lines of HTML. It works anywhere you can add HTML to a page — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or a hand-made site:
<div data-widget-id="your-widget-id"></div>
<script src="https://smartwidget.app/widget/loader.js" async></script>

Questions people ask
Do I need a website?
Yes — a page you can add HTML to. If you have one, you don’t need a developer: copy, paste, done.
Do my customers need an account or an app?
No. They book on your website with their name, email and phone. To move or cancel, they use the link in their confirmation email.
Can it look like my website?
Yes. You choose the colours, the font, the corners and a light, dark or glass style, and you can change every word your customers read.
Is it only in English?
No. The widget and its emails speak English, Hungarian and Serbian. You choose the widget’s language, and a site in several languages can show the same widget in each of them.
